WE ARE CURRENTLY in the middle of Seachtain na Gaeilge.
The fortnight-long celebration of the Irish language encourages people to get reacquainted with Gaeilge.
In that spirit, RTÉ’s TwoTube has compiled this exceedingly helpful guide to texting as Gaeilge.
Three easy ones to start with:
- LOL = GOA (Gáire ós ard)
- OMG = OMD (Ó mo Dhia)
- YOLO = NASAA (Níl ach saol amháin agat)
- LMAO = ABMTAG (Ag briseadh mo thóin ag gáire)
- ROFL = RTUG (Rolladh timpeall on urlair ag gáire)
